Master cylinder needed.

Post by Tonz Magonz »

3/4 of the way to Brent's place yesterday , happily cruising along eastlink and enjoying the perfect weather , when I notice a smell like train brakes..
Another 5 minutes and still there.

Peel off the freeway to find total brake failure..

More pumping than a 16 y.o.'s first root, finally managed to slow down before traffic lights ..
Pulled in to the factory complex and then the smoke started pouring out of the drivers side front brake ..

Once cool, some brake pressure returned but far from adequate..

Now looking for a bay window boosted master cylinder.

Other than CIP1 , can anyone recommend a melburg based affordable supplier..?

Pull yours and get it rebuilt

The master cylinder that is

I had mine re-sleeved and all new internals for around $250 from memory
I'm scared my fibreglass addiction is becoming a real problem

Jeez Tonz, lucky you got that smell first to warn you. Could have been nasty.
