Hessisch-oldendorf 09 vintage VW meet in der fatherland

Post by buk »

hi all

just got back from H-O in der fatherland and ghee am lost for words
it was insane the amount of cars the setting the cars and and and
it was reported that there were 1450 cars
and they all had to be old!
like no big windows allowed.....!!!!
(of course they rocked up anyways and good on them)
and the swap meet was packed but dont expect to get anything cheap
eg bus steeringwheel nos 1000euros(2k aus)
anyways i will put up a few teasers cause none of my jibberish will come close to what attended
enjoy!!!

first thing i ran into was a late 40s split beetle and that was in the carpark!

The show was fantastic, as it was in 2005, but much bigger this time round. It's a truely mind blowing show. How's no less than 26 real Hebs all parked up in one street for starters! 8) 8) 8)

Managed to get a few pics too.

Hey that's the Barndoor Samba they call the Resurrection - that's an awesome car.

I saw it in Holland at Beautiful Budel (the big Dutchy show) a few weeks back - obviously on tour.

Such attractive looking cars, never mind the fact that they are 55 years old. 8)

Cool pics guys and girls, there are heaps on the net all over the place, but it would have been grand to have been there.....
