Some pre-resto shots....if it wasn't for the fact the paint was delaminating everywhere, the owner would have been happy to have left it as is.
This was what was hiding under the paint....
This was what literally blew off with some compressed luft:
Some heavy sculpting from the last 'restorer'
Some really bad previous repairs, if you could call them that
Will get some resto pics up soon

Yeah the problem with that Henry, is that some poor schmuck would have paid a fortune for that "restoration"
I hate seeing shit like that.

The owner changed jobs and had to put the CB on hold for a while so its sitting in his garage in four pieces....also he is still waiting on his Mendeola gearbox

Hopefully some time this year we'll be back into it.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to spend a bit more time with you mate, would have been nice to catch up over a beer or two but work sometimes gets in the way of a good time!
Another old girl in for some loving....
The new owner Cameron has a few goodies set aside for running gear which will be fun....like all 50+ year old buses, it is full of rust even though it looks reasonable on the surface. Fortunately the roof/gutters/rear corners etc are all in really good shape so most of the attention will be on the lower 8 inches.

Mark debuted his notchback at the Volksworld show in the UK this weekend - it arrived on UK soil on thursday straight off the boat so fortunately it wasn't damaged and not too dirty!
