Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has a ragtop roof section taking up precious garage space?
I'm in the eastern suburbs of Melb' and happy to have a look at most things (even if it's just corners/sections), as long as it's not a britax.

Cheers,
Cam

There was one for sale at the swap meet couple of weeks ago. I think Rick was the seller but I am not 100% sure. Someone else will know for sure

yeah, I saw that too, but I don't think it was Rick. I thought it was the next stand from him. Don't know who the seller is though.

$1200  Did it have everything with it (cloth, mechanisms, etc)? I know they command a premium, and I guess the seller sets the price, so hardly my place to judge...
I know it's akin to the 'piece of string' question, but what do you guys think I would be looking at for a clip - without all the sunroof parts?

The one at Williamstown looked complete and in good nick. I didn't look too closely at it though. I reckon that's the going rate for a complete clip these days

Yep $1200 easy. Normally you'd have a bit of trouble even tracking one down that was for sale!

That's what I was just wondering. Does the actual steel-hole-in-the-roof differ between the various number of fold ragtops?

a threefold hole is longer.

they had two styles during 1956. the first has the later round corner bow in the front and a square coenered bow in the back. the later '56 and up till the end of production was the same with ragtop.

from seeing a post on AVD? the steel roof hole is the same oval vs big window, but the steel section around the hole has a slightly different shape at the front corners. not hard to reshape for someone with a few tin banging skills.
