Don't care what condition, I am going to be chopping them for a rotisserie anyway. Might not work so not really keen on something worth keeping
Cheers

are springplates hard to get hold of?
i should have a pair or two. late 6V, they are a long way away and completely usable so may not be what you are after. pm me if you are interested.

if you plan on cutting them up i would recommend saving springplates from this fate and instead keep them so you can swap back from notched plates if needed for a rwc or whatever. quality reproductions are not available unless you want to pay $$$.
might be better to try out some flat plate or square tube bolted where the torsion tube caps go. your choice...

Raf, there'd be some spring-plates in the shed, I'll sell you a pair no worries if you can't find an alternative.
Sing out what you need....
