Looking for a right side headlight glass-just realized after all these years I have 2 Left side glasses
Now the problem is- one piece has 2-80684-Made in der fatherland and above it it says 7003 with an arrow pointing right.
The other piece has 2-80685 Made in der fatherland and 7002 above it with the same arrow.
Which is right for my 62 bus (if either), and if one is right, I am on the lookout for a right side glass Both have the Hella Logo sort of like it is getting bigger from left to right.
Thanks

The patern in the glass is the same/does not mirror image on both sides

So the fact that the numbers printed on the glass (being one digit out) might be for left and right?

For a 1950's bus, there is no left or right, but a '62 bus has left and right lenses.

They are the correct lenses for your car. They were given 2 different part numbers however are the same. More of a logistical thing I'd guess.

Also see here. A NOS (so it says) set with the same numbers.

Your lights are correct.

As stated it sounds like you have a correct pair.

The different part numbers are for driver's side lens and passenger's side lens. As John pointed out, a bus of that era has different ones for each side to aim the light to one side (unlike a beetle which has interchangeable lenses side to side).
