Sydney car storage

Can anyone recommend somewhere in Sydney (pref nord side) that I can store and work on a car that won't cost an arm and a leg?

I'm in the same situation here at Bondi Junction so no advice other than work on it at your mates place!

Used to be a big commercial garage you could park and car and work out of but shut down ages ago - insurance / theft / damage issues.
Best bet would be to go on Gumtree and find a garage for rent.

Have managed to get some mates together and we are going to rent a workshop. Some good deals on gumtree.

Great idea - depending on how far out of town you can go, there'd be some affordable spaces already set up I'd imagine?

We are looking around the northern beaches. Surprisingly some good places around.
