Hi guys chasing a T4 transporter or caravelle, my preference is for an auto diesel but will take anything at the right price and yes I'm aware the auto's have issues but i'm sick of driving manual vans,
I understand this is a big ask too but need it within 10 days as I'll be driving to NSW in it so must be reg'd, looking at a few on ebay/carsales etc but thought I'd ask here too see if anyone can help me out,
much appreciated,
cam.

what do you guys think of VITO'S??
something tells me no but they're a similar size to the transporters....I imagine service and parts would be expensive or are they made in china these days?
any other van recommendations, must similar size to LWB transporter

Early Vitos were shit
Best bet is a Manual Diesel LWB Transporter

Can't say I'd touch an early Vito either. If you can't find a T4, some of the 1.9 T5's can be had for a reasonable price and while they're not nearly as quick as the 2.5 they seem to go forever.

Thanks Scotty. Actually going to check out a t5 tomorrow and if that's no good maybe a nice T3 Ben has put me on to.

Well the T3 was beautiful but felt like steering a boat with flat tyres. So I upped the ante (ie begged scraped and borrowed) to get this;
Drives like a dream smoothest gearbox I've had since my hillman hunter safari wagon (which was unbelievable) It's had a lot of money spent on it last couple years the driveline is virtually new. Anyone want a set of original alloys? I prefer the wheels that are on it now though I'd love to hear fellow T4 owners opinions. Also keen to hear anything regarding upgrades and tweaks. Accessories etc etc.

Looks good, I like the steelies much better than the alloys. They're great vans, I put more than 80 000ks on my last one in less than three years and didn't have one single problem with it. Wish I could say the same for my T5.
