Looks like my 58 bug needs a new gearbox ..

Anyone got a good one around they wanna sell?

I put some oil in mine and it leaked everywhere.... Or does someone know anyone who specialises in these?

Are you looking for a split case like it originally had or going later style 40hp or 1500?

I know someone in NSW who has a few split case gearboxes. One has 'apparently' only done around 60,000 miles. I say that because it's what he was told when he bought a bunch of VWs & this was supposed to have come out of a wrecked low mileage car. That's not a guarantee though. It's probably too far away from you, but just thought I'd let you know.

He's looking to sell them too.

Think we gave away like 6 split case gearboxes

They're not worth $50 bud

I'm after any good gearbox that I can fit up with not too much hassle.. Someone just told me the later ones wouldn't fit..

This one I have is all corroded out had a heap of wasser in it...

One I get a new box fitted I should be able to get her registered and hit the road....

Doesn't have to be local could always get s courier if there are none around here...
