How bads the rust buddy? Is it just the outside edge or the whole sill?

hey mate,

its not that bad to be honest. I already have a front heater channel section and was planning on repairing areas I thought were thin, but then figured get new steel in the complete for piece of mind.

- thin in bottom plate and outside edge in places.
- front section to A-pillar toast
- rear end-cap gone

why do you ask? My biggest fear is getting a klokkerholm and regretting it because it like some mama getting a face lift and botox.

cheers

Dont get klokkerholm, they are the worst vw panels iv ever used. Get the igp sill, they are very decent quality and not much more expensive. Obviously gerson make the best but they also charge the most. Gerson are spot on, igp are good enough to fool most, klokkerholm suck.
I asked because if it were just the outside edge where the running boards bold to then it is not too bad to replace just the outer side. But if the floor of the sill is knackered then yes, whole new sill time.
I dont have any sills at home sorry, but i am pretty sure aus vw still has a couple left, and they havent done any new restos since i left so im guessing they are still there.

Australian vw performance centre, i bought igp floorpans and sills from them before. Just make sure you specify igp or they will give you anything they can get hands on.
