would have love to come but was super busy all weekend so i recorded both days and watched them lastnight.

hope he wasnt too beaten up.

Richo's ok but the car will be binned!
Rails are bent, cage has shifted 4-5 inches, gearbox and diff are cracked and the gb shaft pushed the crank forward......so basically, nothing salvagable which is a pity because we just got that chassis sorted late last year.

They are still determining the cause but it was some kind of front end failure. Either a suspension collapse or a split rim is what they're saying.
Cost of a car like that is between 400 to 500k. The engine alone is worth 100k.
They have a spare shell, its the one his team mate frosty ran last season. They are hoping to have it up for Thursday and are working 24hrs on it at the mo. Normally takes a couple of weeks to get a shell up to race spec and the guys have 4 days from yesterday.
Chanel 10 are doing a feature of the build on sports tonight this week. They do the coverage for the GP event so it will be interesting to watch. I imagine they will be doing a bit of time lapse stuff.
Anyone going to the GP???
