wanted good running beetle pref 15/1600cc motor

i`m arriving in melburg in 3 weeks from ireland and i`ve been looking for a suitable bug to use as a daily driver , prefer something with a good strong 1500 or 1600 motor . what`s out there ? would consider a type 3 notch for the right money either. my budget is pretty tight with around 3k to spend
no fat chicks please

landing in melburg on feb 20th ! can`t wait , i spent a year there back in 2001 mostly in and around st kilda and nord hawthorn.
any brickies on here ? i`ll be looking for work asap

thats funny the old man and older brother spent 12 months in ireland in 2001 theres a few quaries up here always looking but it 2 hours nord of melburg in castlemaine the quaries are not even a 1 kilometer from my place in yapeen

casltmaine is a small country town with alot of vdubs but no one nows much about them its about 30 mins from bendigo Jase And Rhette live there there is also the bendigo volkswagen club. i will ask the old man when i see him this ornext weekend as he works away from home in yarrawonga (Victoria/New sud Wales border)

the locals call anything with a square bumper a fatty - not just the curved windscreens it seems '68 on bugs
