Not sure if anyone can help or point in the right direction, but I have just bought a pair of original autopulse fuel pumps for my spyder which I need to restore, but I need to get some brackets fabricated like the original ones to mount to my cockpit area. Does any one know someone who does one offs - not a complicated design as per the pics

thanks Andrew

Any sheetmetal shop or laser cutter should be able to sort that for you

I would have to make a template up - easy done to fit the pumps

My biggest challenge is to source an original pair of manifolds, or get some made up :?

I only asked as I am going to my country estate at the weekend...... hahahahaha, nah, just kidding, really just going to my mates farm, and we cut 100 series cruiser backs off and fabricate them into LWB duel cab utes and there is always some metal bashing and bending happening there.... but as Jase said, any sheety will do this..... or even panel beater, there is a young fella round the corner from here, who has a '63 beetle and is apprentice panel basher. He does some good stuff and is a nice fella too. He has a thread in the cars bit about his '63 Betty? and his name is panelbeatersam.... ask him if he is interested.... apprentices can always do with some foreigners at lunchtime to turn a little coin......

thanks for the lead - just got the pumps delivered from the States yesterday, so I might measure them up and give him a yell - would rather line the pockets of the learner folk!

Try Nick "aintgotitmusthaveit"
he has contacts to cast from CAD.
I could knock the CAD up for you pretty quick if you've got measurements.
You'll need to machine afterwards

I only have photos of the manifolds - the thing is that they are only there to look original - they used to leak like a sieve on the racing 550s. I will relocate my bendix pump out of the way to the engine bay still connected, and mount these in on the side where they were on the originals just for effect. I can get the manifold screws and all new gaskets from here:

http://www.who-sells-it.com/cy/classic- ... age-1.html

but have searched high and low for the manifolds with no success - can you work from photos - I have about 6 x different angles - I can give full measurements of the pumps??
