VW Nationals - May 23 24 (cruise on the Sat night?)

VW Nationals are on Sun May 24 in Sydney, a few of us from Canberra will hopefully be making the trek up on the Saturday (past Wakefield to check out the Sprint).
Is there anything to do on the Sat evening in Syd? The Nationals on the Sunday are great, but they lack a cruise. Does anyone get together the night before?
