Hey Josh,
I took all my scrap bins in the other day after being made redundant. Gotta eat somehow.....
Try Martin's Steel in Kerang, I know it's a long shot, but they have always had odd sizes. Don't panic about the distance, I can get it here every second weekend or so.
Rural suppliers often have NOS laying about.
If you get stuck, I have a little bit of 60.55mm/2.384" OD with 5mm wall.
It is a homemade jib extension to my w/s floor crane, so it sort of has a use, but I never use the extension anyway..... It is a bit ratty too.
If you get uber desperate, let me know and we'll have 8 inches off that jib extension........

Cant have you chopping your tools up Brent, but thanks for the offer. The size I need is exactly 2.5 inches. Must be a close fit, as its for a sleeve for my rear torsion tubes.

Josh, Handy Steel SUpplies in Heidelburg/ivanhoe. Thats where i got my tubing for the beam. the flare at the bottom of a ball joint beam. 50.5mm ID and 61mm OD, so that may do, but if not they may have something. I will be home most of the day tomorrow, so if your in the inner western burbs doing work, call me, and maybe bring the part you need to sleeve, to see if it will work.
Nectar.
