WTB Low light bay

Does anyone know of a low light bay window bus for sale? preferably with the early tail lights too, what year did they go to?

Just seeing what's out there.

Close to rego would be great. little to no rust.

Don't care what is in the rear.

wanting to spend about 6k

68 only i think

I think the following is correct.

68 were the only wide 5 stud pattern year. Hence 68 bj beams were much sort after by those restoring Split busses.
Tail lights changeover was 72.

Small tail lights to early 71 i think
wide 5 to early July 70 i think
68-69 front end has the same bolt pattern as the splitties.
wheel arches also changed in 71

Thanks for the help guys and thanks for the link Paul. Going off this info i'm after something '68 to early '70s (wide 5 and split tail lights)

Keep an eye out. I will most likely trade my type 3 for one.

We'll see how i go.

Dont know it but have noticed the hacked in windows... More work if you want a panel..

Ideally yes, but it's cheap and i've got an engine lying around and i'm not having much luck finding others. Guess i'm in no hurry though.

Yeah pity that one's sold. Thanks for the advice. I saw a nice looking early bay today in a yard full of other vws corner highett and church st, belongs to the mechanics on the corner.
