G'day to all of you,

I'm looking for preferably 2 stock sized tyres (I have rims) or complete wheels in the melburg area. I think the size would be 165/70-15 and I hope they are in good condition since we're driving to WA next week.

At the moment we have mags on the bug, but the rims are too wide in the front and there are cracks in one tyre so we're putting stock wheels on and keep the mags in the back. The tyres in the back are only used a few months. Hopefully it won't look to funny. :)

Even if you don't have any, you might know of a place that sells cheap new/used tyres in this size? I live in Point Cook.

Best regards
Ken, Jenny and Herman the German

Edit. Yes there are rubber flares both in the front and back because of a very mean RWC-mechanic. In the back only the sidewalls of the tyres stick out a few millimeters but that was too much for the mechanic. Anyone interested in them? :P

danke schon! Unfortunately they didn't have that size. What they had was 165R for $125 and 155R for $135. If I remember correctly the 165R is 165/80-15.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers hertz. ;) I've read alot of different statements regarding the stock size.

So is there anyone who got one pair of stock tires 165R in good condition? Since buying two new ones for $120 each is a bit bloody because we realized yesterday that the rear wheel bearings have to be replaced.

Which I can't do myself because of lack of tools and space so we're probably leaving the car with Volkspower on Monday.
