The 'Run to the Sun' is going to be at Mudgeeraba showgrounds again, due to popular demand .
Run to the Sun will return in November 2010.
Exact weekend to be announced but same venue
Bigger and better, next year we will be aiming at 1000 vehicles, which will probably make RTTS the biggest VW show in the Southern Hemisphere
Pencil it into your new diaries as one not to be missed
Clubs from all over Australia are invited,
Vehicles from the Rare to the outrageous
We have had great feedback, "so much more relaxed than the usual shows"
Having no trophies proved a popular decision, there may have been some drivers stay away, but it took a great presure off and everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere
More details to follow soon

Cool, my son wants to do BMX racing after I took him to a big BMX meeting in Kilsyth on Sunday. We were looking at some bikes and he liked the GT's and Kuwahara's, but I have convinced him that a Mongoose will be much better.

There was 3 people on there that are members here and I can't remember the last time any of them contributed ... if its so boring, they should just voluntarily unregister themselves

It seems a bit daft to try and run two "
Alltime " VW shows on the same weekend.... the Vic Day Of is a fantastic day, with many peeps either driving down/over or praying that their Rolls Royce powered aluminium tube makes it in one piece.......
Sure it's 1500 km's away, but we come to Sydney nats/Valla etc 'cause they are great shows where we all get a chance to catch up with cool people...
And then to advertise the show on here which is
(1) a Day of Sponsor... and
(2) predominatly not interested in fibreglass and
(3) a long bloody way away......
doesn't make sense
Good luck with your record setting show.... a weekend either side and it may have been a ballbuster

sorry, don't agree champ
got to have alternatives
what i do disagree with is no introduction ,different user names for different forums and choosing to be 'hidden'

Do you reckon Bathurst and Phillip Is will ever be on the same weekend ????
Sure we all have different ideas, that's what cool about life; but to promote oneself as the biggest and best up against the biggest and the best seems to be a pointless excercise to me....
If it was a weekend apart, the alternative is drive like hell to do both, only do one, or be like Dibba and have your butler scope out the swap for the rare bits.... and pay cash
my 2 cents anyway.
Not worth a nickel 'cause I miss both anyway...
Wherever you all go, have a great time.. and as stated, good luck to the organisers of both shows... lots of effort...

mmmmm the user name came from a company i worked for 4 yrs ago...think this was the first forum i joined...and 3 amigos( myself and 2 sons) is my other user name WE use on dsk/kc avd..sorry NO appoligies for that...owned 4 kombis..done 1 full ground up resto(sold)...just sold a 74 camper and have a 58 split (rat) thats also in resto and a 72 also have full resto...funny thing is ..I will not have a vw at this event
..and as far as the event goes..it was put in the right section i believe.. Luft Northern Alliance...any way...the only record to be broken will be last years event...with a bit of luck...
