Post by Redroptop »

Hey guys,

Looking for 2x Standard 14'' rims. Wide 5 Pattern.

I DO want them standard, and not widened.

If you could help that would be marvelous.

Im in Melburg and can be contacted via PM or post under this thread.

Thanks Much

Nath, how come everytime I need somthing, you always put your hand up.

You have several things I need and want to look at, but you live in Wonthaggi.

I would like to have a look at some Spindles, a lowered beam and that beetle on eBay.

But too far.

I may come to my senses and come and look on the weekend, well see how I go.

Thanks man.

no disrespect intended stuart

but your profile says sud ost Melb... lets say you live as close as St Kilda...
(worst case scenario) thats only 1hr and 42 min to Wonthaggi.... (132klms)

I drove 2.5 hrs each way (twice) for my notch
The same distance you need to (142klms from ost Bentleugh to Traralgon) for my beetle....
1500klms in a day for a car show in Nambucca Heads
have driven to sydney a few times to collect or drop off vw's or parts
to Bendigo and past Geelong often...

and feck knows where else...

all in the endless pursuit of VW happiness....

harden up and go see Nathan...
if you don't have transport ask a friend or jump on a train...

my 2c :D

  :D

there's never a place thats too far to travel to when it comes to your car.
especially when your going to look at/buy something you want
i drove three hours to bright one day after work, looked at a fastback, drove three hours back. got home at 1. slept. got up again and went to work at 7.

go for a drive, take your vw. you'll have fun. you'll be in the country and its all worth it just to spot the odd classic on someones farm on your way there or back. you never know, you may end up bringing something home you never thought you would

happened to me before, though it was a dog, not a car :P

Damn straight brent, pussies

I drive to melb pretty much every weekend after work to see the missus, will be doing a round trip to the other side of Camberra to pick up a tractor and a fat chick in a couple of weeks, yes a fatty

Seems like a lot of city folk think outside a three hour drive the world ends.. I emphasize not all though

Might have been a bit harsh, but if you are used to long-ish hours like that, there is not reason why it can't be done. If you feel tired, stop. But there is a difference between where you did driving... If you have to drive an hour to the nearest Mars Bar, can of coke or pack of smokes, a longer drive may be easier than for those who walk to the milk bar.

By the way, Qld just got their third try, been biffo....... what a game, only 36th minute still ;)

unfortunately never been out of vic myself..............20 years old and havent been over the border. been to pretty much every place in the state just not out of it..................yet

hoping to do a roadtrip with some mates later in the year, hopefully have a vw on the road by chrissy and head up to brissy..............see if she makes it ;)
oh and almost drove to adelaide for a fasty till i got a call saying it had caught fire :(

some of my friends think im crazy with the places i drive for the crap i wanna get......................ain't in the same league as some of you boys and good on yas for your efforts when it comes to the cars we love

still dont think a 90 minute drive to wonthaggi requires much of a second thought though

lucky i havent been to thailand then :D :D :D
