anyone in Newtown area can possibly check out a car for me?
its actually for my sister - she'd like an opinion on it before she makes her transition back into the vw fold after many moons away...
any help appreciated

i only know of one for sale round there
and if it is then last time i saw it (few months ago) it was very clean resto done by Dodd. i remember he wanted to paint it matt schwarz but it was too good for that. Not sure on the interior i think it may be mismatched but don't take my word for it.
had something weird going on with the flappers on it
I would go have a look for you but now i live over hour and a half away.

trying to find a bug for my sister in NSW...

I know of a nicely restored 1960 Mango.
It could probably be had for $7500 with a little haggling

Mango sound nice but prolly too much for her
the two cars we've missed so far were both >67 both two toned
one metallic blau with a weiss insert - cal looker-ish
and the other a factory grey with weiss insert low k's
both around the $3500ish I think? but one sold outside of ebay the other was on carsales
so that sort of thing I guess...
i might just build her something - but keen to see how good these were - looked great for the money

I know of a standard Beetle 60 something that may be for sale and he got it cheap.It already has a 2 '' CB beam in it think it may have some rust issues though ..
