maaaan your not looking hard enough.. scope ebay, i just picked up an early 6v engine that would run, a 40hp in bits and a 1600sp and a three rib box for a price i wont even mention

all within an hours drive of your digs, i was gunna pop in but i didn't have your number.. bugger.
I was gunna offer you the engine, but its a bit different so i wanna find out about it now..
Anyway if i find anything i'll let you know, 6v 1500's alright?

sorry for the hijack
all the stuff above is bastard 40hp (60? kombi only) stuff. i'd love the bastard fuel pump if you don't want it. i picked up a rebuilt engine years ago with some bastard bits and it took years (pre net) to find out what they came from. eventually i'd love to collect enough bits to build a hotted up bastard look alike engine. if it will ever happen i don't know, but it is a fun pipe dream.
please post some pics or start a thread.

??? i'll take a punt and say that the rocker covers step down about 15mm at the intake manifold. it has raised humps on the cylinder tin where the cyl numbers are pressed, a PCI carb with a cast in brass pipe not a threaded input, a fuel pump with a vertical out put, maybe slighty different case ribbing around the oil pressure warning light area and if you're really lucky a VJ4 BR25 all mechanical advance distributor? the cylinders may have a smaller top diameter.byronmcmanus59 wrote: but its a bit different so i wanna find out about it now..
