wtd: trailer to use western suburbs
Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone would have or know of a car trailer that could be used for a couple days? Or the best/cheapest place to hire one from? I need to pick up a car off Ben (type3disease)
Cheers, Ben

Thanks a lot guys,
Jimmy, ill give Linden a call today and see what he can do.
A trailer might be a little more handy, its just i think im going to need to do a couple trips over a few days taking it back and forth, etc so if i go for a hire company id be forkin out 300ish for 3 days.
If anyone has one i'd be willing to negotiate a reasonable price to borrow it for a few days

I have a single axle car trailer. It fits cars up to the size of a Gemini or Corolla. I'm located near Werribee.
When do you need the trailer? I will need it on Monday and probably next weekend also.
Note that being single axle, a car is fine, but a car with a few extra engines or gearboxes in the back is gonna overload it.
The trailer's dimensions are 346cm long and 163cm wide on the bed. I've never used it to tow a VW with. It was designed for a front-engined car, so you would have to put a VW on it rear-first to get the weight distribution right.
My usual price for borrowing the trailer is a bottle of Kahlua per day. Comes with straps, chains etc in the side box. UFUF rules apply. (U Fook, U Fix!)

I got sick of paying $200-300 to hire for a few days a 20 foot, tandem axle, 900kg trailer to tow a 600kg, 10 foot car (Mini). I paid $800 for my single axle, 13 foot, 400kg car trailer at Geelong swap about five years ago. Bargain!! It's paid for itself many times over. I can even tow my my Moke on it behind my Corona (slowly), as it sneaks under the 1000kg weight limit.BUGBOY wrote:05bjp90 wrote:Thanks heaps Hertz, pm'd Jase so shall see how we go
