as long as your car is a 56/7 i think the only real difference in the doors is the holes to take the front of the handle. you might want to get a bit of welding practice before you try it though

the front seat frames are the same up until the early 60's. you want the style without the thread on the backrest hinge point.

there are a heap of variations on the front guards from 53 - 59 how anal do you want to be? do a search on the samba for more details if you want to go there.

to my knowledge the position of the tube doesn't change.

from memory the main differences are in the shape of the headlight bucket and the flare where the running board meets the guard.

i'll try and find the samba thread and link it here.

edit

the whole position of the headlight is different as well.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... s+original

more interesting stuff in the links off that thread.

if you mean the front bonnet stay thingy there are heaps of variations here as well. i should have a 58/9 one about, not sure if it is here or in sydney though i'll have a dig.
btw the speedo cable conduit is different oval vs 58/9 too. you thought this would be easy didn't you

Nar I've got a hood stay I just need the latch that catches the pin to hold the hood down, I've only got sixties ones where the the wire to pop the hood feeds in from the drivers side, the ovals feed in from the passengers side, if that makes sense :D
