WTB : A pair of '67 long axles/short spline complete

Post by PASHN8 »

Hi guys,

In need of a pair of good condition long axles from a '67 bug as I want to push my rear track out 1inch per side without using spacers.

Any one have a pair of know of a set?

you can use type3 or 1500 beetle axles
you WILL need to run type 3 drums if maintaining wide 5(these are becoming difficult to find)

Thanks Mark! I didn't realise you had to use a Type 3 drum with those axles, so that adds another spin on it.

66BRM, thanks for the link!

Ok, after some research it seems a set of these with '68+ Beetle long axles should allow me to fit my standard rear drums.

Now just have to find out what sort of offset that will give me in the rear!
