Just had a squiz at the hinge. Are the 58's supposed to have an extra hole for the stay or does it just bolt to the 'standard' hole? if ya know what I mean?

Edit: Ignore me - I picked the 53/57 manual just they used the old picture

The bonnet stay should connect to the hinge bracket.

Manual pages above are correct up to 55 year model / end of July 55 production date.

Cheers bud. It seems I have a non 58 bonnet fitted as it doesnt have the hole for the stay.
Shouldnt be too hard to rig up some sorta bracket
