WTD: Type 3 Speedo Cable

Post by muz »

Hi guys,

Is anybody wrecking a type 3 or have a speedo cable lying around?

or alternatively, who is the best to contact in melburg for one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, a working speedo would be helpful :)

i do realise they support the site and yes their prices are great and that's why i buy the majority of my parts from them, but when you only need one item the shipping is not worth it.

i'm just saying i don't think the broken record of "check our sponsors" needs to be played every time somebody posts a wanted ad... especially to members who have been on here for several years.

It wasn't that long ago you were complaining about trying to keep the pointless posts to a minimum in the classifieds?

C'mon Muz, FFS,

Your post said ANY help greatly appreciated. Jase gave up his time to point out an option that maybe you hadn,t considered and your response was nothing short of an insult. I think people think we are going to retire on CIP loyalties. In actual fact we have been getting f@#k all out of them lately as they are doing it very tough and have bounced a few cheques on us. That said, they still are the only online joint worth dealing with when it comes to price and inventory.

You asked for help, then bit the hand of the person who tried to help. If it wasn't an option you like, politely say thanks but no thanks.

Anyway, do what you like. If you do get it from CIP, PM me your receipt and I'll make sure to forward you a cheque for the 3% commission. Dont want you thinking we are in it for the money.

If you don't like it here, I sincerely regret that and urge you to explore your options.

Gee you boys can get your knickers in a twist over a little bit of criticism!

Hertz, I couldn't care less about the 3% commission, i'm not that stupid to think that a little VW forum would be making a fortune out of directing people to a sponsors website.

I was a little peeved that the last 2 questions i've asked on this forum have clearly been asking who in AUSTRALIA supplies such and such parts. I always check CIP when i'm planning on making a decent order but as it was a RHD specific part and i don't need to make a decent order, i didn't see the point.

You guys have banners for CIP on the website that are displayed on every page you look at, and i'm not exactly a newbie on this site that needs to be met with "check the sponsors" everytime i put a WTD advert up.

You boys bag out AVD but it's starting to sound very familiar to the responses of "check classic" that you get on there.

I like this site and the people that are on it and don't mean to offend and don't plan on bailing either, hopefully you can see where i'm coming from.

Any way, rant over.
