WTD: 1600 good running engine, or a lead on one..

Post by lowsquire »

My Good friend Gemma from Outre gallery in the City, has had a catastrophic engine failure in her 66 (or maybe 67?) Bug, needs a good secondhand 1600 or whatever else would work, she has been quoted $2500 for one that is 'rebuilt' , but Im getting the feeling thats the 'dumb girl' price.. If I can find her a good runner I can install it..and hopefully save her some dough. anyone know of one?

Not mine and I don't know the seller, but this seems a grand cheaper.

$1,375.00 isn't bad though..

I believe Volksrecycle are doing some 12 & 1500s, last time I was there anyhow.
