Haha, welcome. That's a very northern alliance.
I can see why you chose this section to post in, though it's really been set up for/by the Sydney based folk, who wanted to have their own section.
you may want to post here...

Welcome Phil, nice to see we are becoming a known in Pomgolia. Once you get here you will find we have lots more than good weather, although the weather is somewhere to start our list of attractions.
At the Rancho meet last Sat I think I heard about 6 or 7 people with UK accents out of a crowd of about 20, so you will not be in too smaller minority if you decide to emigrate as well.

thanks for the warm welcome. yeah everyone seems to be moving to oz from england. i know of at least seven familys that have gone in the last two years. i must admit tho, that we are looking into it. even more so now my brother in laws going. i have a mate who moved over there about ten years ago. he now lives by the great barrier reef. yeah looking forward to coming over at the end of the year, if there are any meets or shows on when im there i'll come and try to find you and say hi propperly
whats the vw scene like there? its BIG here. loads of shows. and loads of v-dubs still on the road. every kind of style too from cal-look rat-look restocal german-look volksrods. where i live, in the summer you will usually see a custom vw most days. hopefully mine will be one of them this year
