WTB - 1600 single port heads

Name: Lee

The valve seat is fuched on one of the heads on the beetle so I'm on the search for 2 new 1600 single ports heads part number 311105101A (hopefully with new valves).
I know it's a long shot - but if you don't ask.... :)

Cheers Lee

Lee, why not go to dual port. Easier to get a good pair, and just have to change the manifold ends.

Thanks Josh - that might be the way to go. I do like the low end torque of the sp though, heard that sp runs cooler too?

Yeah mate, I've been using it as a daily - 55km each way on the Monash doing 100 (at 5.30 am) and 80 going home. So the fuel ecomony is useful too.

CIP do new ones, but not cheap. Why not just get a valve jod done?

Any idea on the rough cost Josh and any recommendations on where to get the work done?

JNR may have a better idea on where to go. Most cylinder head places could handle it though. Put it this way, cheaper than new SP heads, and if you get secondhand, you may have to do the same anyway.

DP heads are on CIP from 200 each. Manifold ends can be found for free.
