WTB - Seat adjusters and rod (No longer required)

Post by rubyghia »

Probably not going to have much luck with these but I'll give it a go.

After the rod and two adjusters which slide into the bottom seat of early Type IIIs. I've attached some pics. hope they help. Anyone have a set by any chance?

Thanks.

Hey Leroy. I would rather just the rod and adjusters. Don't suppose you would be happy to part with those only? but...how much do you want for the seats?

See if Brad can help out first I guess, as he is closer. Still happy to help out if need be after that.

Hey Tonz.

The rod was bent quite a bit and I've tried straightening it but with the actual adjusters...one is shot to bits and the other has been banged around a bit so even though that and the rod may be salvageable I'ld rather just try and get another one. I'm also missing one of the pins to hold the adjuster in place  ..not doing too well with my Type IIIs!!

Ahhh thanks for the Ghia praise. Now that was a big job but am pretty stoked with it. Cheers :)

Hey Brad.

Was actually going to call you this week! Spooky!

The rod would be good. As I said to Tonz I've tried to bend (well bash it actually) it back to being straight so could probably reuse it.

Are what you call the cams what I call the adjusters? If so, one is totally broken and the other has been tampered with a bit. So best to get 2 other ones.

I was actually going to come by to get some seat advice off you as well. I've resprayed and am about to reupholster some Type III seats and was looking for advice on how to fit it all back together without ruining everything!

Not sure where you are based but try Brian at Unique in Braeside... I think I gave him one or a pair of type 3 seats a while ago for his collection....

Happy to have a crack at repairing yours but you have to bring the ghia with you to show my daughter...
She shares the same name as the colour...
