Low Light Bay Shit Needed

Post by Jase »

Like it says looking for a treasure chest door lock for a 68 Lowlight

Happy to buy a new one but can't seem to find any out there

Or are they the same as the engine lid lock?

Turns out these are different to fatty beetle engine lid locks

They work more like a type 3 door latch

All I need is the outer handle/button assembly 8)

There isn't a button there Jase. It should be a key hole on a C code lock. When you turn the key the chest door pops open so no need for a button. It was probably removed because the lock no longer worked. Try twisting the internals with a screwdriver and see if it pops it open. Looks like a tough one to fix.

Just for reference, this is what your lock looks like with the key hole.
