WANTED NEW TYPE 4 CAM

Post by dyno »

All, looking for a mild grind type 4 cam I can still use with standard carbs for reasonable $. Not interested in used or standard and looking for something around 270 degrees duration and 0.400 inch lift @ the cam(advertised). Anyone out there with some old stock kicking about(eagle, CB, Scat)? Would also be interested in new graded(-2 and -3) bolt on cam gears for the same cam too.
Regards, Andrew.

thanks anyway, ordered one from the states, the VW traders in Australia were far too steep with the prices.

I have a Web 86 in my 914 1.7, and I love it. A nice flat torque curve, and with ITB's a nice smooth idle. Pulls like a train right up to the rev limiter at 6250rpm.
