WTB: Judson 36hp Compressor

Post by Volumex »

My mid life crisis is progressing well - my cholesterol is up, my hair is thinning and the children are beginning to rebel - so what I need now is a supercharged chick magnet. (Just don't tell wifey V1.0)

One major obstacle to this plan is a lack of funds - so what I am wanting to buy is a shagged/cracked/stuffed Judson 36hp compressor. I don't need the pulleys/oiler/filters/linkages.

Anyone got an average or worse compressor they want to part with??

LOL
The problem with Judsons is they all say "turns freely!"
In other words its stuffed.
I'm rebuilding one at the moment and unless you want to spend heaps of money your really best to buy one thats fully rebuilt, its heaps cheaper unless you can do lots of machining etc yourself.

Cracked blower housings are not the best place to start, and worn rotors will never generate and boost. Even with new vains they will just rattle and clack away and most likely go off like a grenade.
Everything 36HP !
Change over king and link spindles
6-12volt semaphores

I'm just after a stuffed one - it won't be going on the car any time soon.

I might get the proper setup from Belgium when I have my next mid-life crisis.
