What year in the 1960's?
Has the car had a respray? Maybe it is just my eyes, but the door frame paint, looks a bit orange peely. Which leads me to think the car has been resprayed and probably had the headliner changed at sometime.
Are the seats still in the original material?
Very sharp John. Hep, had a respray but was done with empathy for the original headliner. Ripping job. 63
Owner reckons the seats are orig but I think just the faces (red) are original. Rest looks too new. The headliner looks like it's been there for 50 years and is real nice. Burnt under the back window though. Hence the need for a piece of material.
Has the newest rubber floor mats you'll ever see. Low mileage car.
I had a couch in that fabric years ago, that my mom had recovered. It was a red vinyl though. Pretty sure she used warwick fabrics but could be wrong. Might be worth trying an old school apholsterererer

warwick fabrics are not uv safe....not for car use anyway. the rep i used to deal with from warwick advised me this....they have fanrics that are very similar to a lot of automotive fabrics, as its a "style of the times" thing....
then that would be the beetle i restored at max's. It was sandblasted outside, hand stripped inside. Headlining masked up. I did all the rust repairs and primed up. Max sprayed it, and after that we rubbed it with three thousand grit and polished. I cant take credit for the paint job, i only did the prep for it. We sandblasted because after i took the old paint off by hand, we found rust in tiny little divots that we could not sand out, so it was blasted. Funny thing about that car, the doors were perfect when i stripped them by hand, no rust or dents. After they were blasted they were warped as hell. Had to straighten the doors heaps.

That will buff right out...
