Lets not end up like our Sydney counterparts

Lets throw some ideas around, and it may take a little while to find a venue we are happy with,
but lets make the effort and get this happening.
It will be hard to find a central location, as a lot of us are from all over the place (Bayside, Mountain ranges nord and sud coasts)
and depending on what we want in a venue as well.
My suggestions are as follows (be that they are only suggestions):
Vroom cafe, Fortitude Valley - Main reason is it is super central and they also have a motoring background
which I think if we approached them, could be beneficial.
Open all hours so we don't have to do a certain morning/afternoon/night meet.
Harry's Diner, Windsor - Once again quite central and willing to support such events (lets avoid friday nights though).
Moving away from the typical Cafe theme, how bout a workshop of some kind?
There isn't really any I can think of that would be of interest to us and that is local, but here are some suggestions anyway:
DAS Resto Haus - Awsome workshop, great owner and heaps of cool shit to look at, but its a long trip for all Brissy folk.
Bob Romano Performace - This is a workshop that a fellow DSK uses at Morningside, I do know the owners from dealings with them in the past.
Not sure if the workshop opens on weekends?
It is a possibility though, so I can always go and discuss it?
Vegas Luft HQ - is 'under construction' and is located near the bayside (yeah we know Leroy will like this one), not as central as some would like I suppose?
It is set on acreage with ample parking away from the pulic, and guaranteed to have at least a handful of dub projects on the go at once.
There is a fridge on site and more than likely a coffee machine will be donated to the cause if it ends up being a morning event.
All have pluses and minuses so let me know what you are thinking.
I'm going to try and get some of the DSK locals involved too ....
Anywho .... through your ideas up here, lets work it out
