There are two types of mirror for a beetle , one hinge pin mounted on the upper hinges of the doors or Albert's mirrors mounted on the front edge of the front quarter chrome.

I got mine from George at classic not cheap though round $400.
I think ISP and Old Bug are around $200 US plus shipping but gives you the chance to buy some other stuff.
I'm scared my fibreglass addiction is becoming a real problem

yeah dude.
there's two bolts to mount them, and you'd have to drill two holes in your bonnet/fenders/body.
