Lookin for Resto Bug

Post by Sunshine »

Hey all,

Keen to embark on a new project. Lookin to resto an oval or late 50's bug (ideally a rag top but not essential). Would like to put body on IRS pan. Any views on the best fit b/w body and pan i.e. what years fit best? Lookin for clean, simple, original look, dumped on its belly with a mildly hot 'mota' (spoken in my best pommy accent). Need to offload my current ride to fund resto!

Any ideas, potential cars / pans anyone can help me with?

You will never have an original looking oval/late 50's car if its on an IRS pan.

Just another molestered POS.

And if you want it low as you say, you will be just making life hard for yourself.

For a cool looking car that rides nice down low, you cant beat a swingaxle/king pin car.
